About

Adventurous community challenges for
any body and everybody.

MMI Events run a series of adventurous community charity challenges throughout the year. Our events have become known as some of the most iconic events on the South Australian adventure sport calendar, attracting participants from all over the country.

We host accessible, inclusive and affordable events. They’re not just for elite athletes – they are for anyone who wants to challenge themselves and give it a go!

It all started in 2011 when a group of mates identified a need for a fun, affordable and accessible community event in the Murraylands region that promoted healthy lifestyle choices. The region has one of the highest obesity rates in the country.

As a paramedic, our founding member Morgan saw the impacts of this first hand and wanted to create an event that could assist with improving the health of the local community. With a small enthusiastic group of volunteers at the helm, the inaugural Murray Bridge Fun Run was established in 2011.

Since then, MMI has earned a strong reputation in the trail running and MTB community by bringing a series of highly-anticipated annual events which leverage our beautiful riverside and mixed terrain trails within the Murray Bridge area.

In 2018 we began our Kids Run Wild initiative with the aim of combatting childhood obesity and related illnesses in our community by promoting healthy lifestyles for kids and removing barriers to participation by offering free event entry for kids.

After a challenging 2020, MMI was thrilled to win the Rural City of Murray Bridge Community Event of the Year award for the Murray Bridge Marathon - our biggest one yet.

We are proud to bring these events to the Murraylands and see the health of our community improving.
